Hello, My name is Jennifer and as an artist promoting your artwork it certainly is'nt easy, it takes much persistence and hard work, and you hope that people love your art as much as you do. Here in Orlando, I felt there was not enough support for emerging artists or just any artist wanting to be seen, I found that if you`re not known, you're actually a "no name" and it's very difficult to squeeze into the art world. And personally I`m not a "name dropper." Artist are not business people, they are simply people that want to create, but if they want to sell their work, well you fill in the blank... What I also have a problem with is people feel they need a "resume" of where they have shown their work, an artist statement, and explain the schematics of their work. You know what, as an artist I particularly don't care, it's art - you either like it or not!" There are some amazing artist out there and all they need is exposure, not to commercialize a talent, true you need to make money to continue painting and this is why I have the "Art For Bid program," where you can bid on a piece of my art every month. So because I was having this problem I developed "Art By Design By Jennifer Augustus. For all of its advancement and big city vibe, Orlando still has a along way to go when it comes to art. Contemporary being my art of choice, I will endeavor to share this love by way of this site."
